Yuu Kurokawa is a first year student of Night Raven College. Given the title of "Prefect" by the Headmage. Technically, Yuu is a housewarden and manages majority of ramshackle dorm activities. But most of the time Yuu got called as a vice housewarden by Grim.
Literature club is a self-indulgent club created by Yuu themself. Rooted from an interest in a game that references Twisted Wonderland classic literature they accidentally found. the club consists of only Yuu. Yuu appears as a young androgenous looking person with short white hair, fully black eyes without sparks and white lashes. Yuu discloses their gender, but majority of students pass them as a male with feminine features like Epel. After transferred to Night Raven College, they wear a standard Night Raven College uniform along with black gloves, another black coat on top and a pair of white sneakers. Yuu usually is seen as a quiet, humble and awkward person. But according to some people they're very expressive, just not seen smiling. Yuu describe themself as "as rotten as everyone in here", they also show a lot of emotions expressing towards anger. In a lot of situations they want to be as helpful as possible, but in some they just completely avoid being associated with it. Yuu is an overthinker and usually put themself down for others but at the same time fit in the category of "self esteem too low, ego too high". They usually doesn't realize what they're doing or feeling at the moment. Yuu prefers to spend time in solitude and work alone. Until now, no one really knows a thing about Yuu at all.
BACKGROUND
Yuu's ethnicity is Thai, both of their parents are Thais that moved to Japan since Yuu was young. Sometimes they're seen speaking Thai in NRC as it is the language used in their family. Yuu's parents are emotionally neglectant, hence why they barely trusts anyone enough to disclose their personal information even if it's completely fine to do so. Yuu have a habit of self isolation and tend to push others away believing that it's better that way, this is from how their old friends usually isolate and excludes them from a lot of activities. They also had a bully back then, although It's just one person. It damages how Yuu sees themself a lot.
"Even if I'm surrounded by everyone, It still felt like I was never there." Since Yuu was a kid, they're seen as gifted and holds the expectations of their parents but after grade 8 they dropped everything and drive into state of burn out, actually, they did mention a lot of their lack of motivation even in their time at NRC. Both school and home aren't enjoyable anymore. But reaching out for help is useless too. Yuu experiences emotional distress a lot but the breaking point was about university years. they were stressed about university preparations while also having their parents constantly pushing the possibilities of future onto them. Yuu came into Twisted wonderland by dropping themself off a building. A black carriage ran into them before they touched the ground. That time, Yuu was wearing a white shirt, black pants, white sneakers and a black coat. Earphones plugged in, playing their favorite song as their body floats among the night city lights.
Yuu still likes frilly clothes, laces, ribbons, and bows. And prefer more to be referred in a gender neutral way.
POST BOOK 3
Yuu experiences everyone's backstory but particularly felt so connected to Azul's. It hits close to home with all the "i dont want to go back to my old self again". It's just so similar to yuu themself. But how come Azul is so successful even when they have the same start, same desires? Making them question a lot and decided to want to find out more about him."You're amazing as it is, even without stealing anyone else's powers.""Your incredible diligence is so rare, it left headmage at loss. You know, i wish i could be like you." That was the phrase that make Azul felt something. It felt like hes appreciated for all the efforts he put in even though Yuu didn't even gain a thing from his doings. And Yuu said that because they really admire his determination.
POST BOOK 4
In book 4 Yuu saw how Azul planned out to "save scarabia" and even more interested in learning about him. Although Yuu doesn't realize that they want to get closer to him because they want to learn something from him. So after winter break for one day, Yuu consult Azul for a job at mostro lounge. Saying that its just a "Side job to get more money in the pocket." By having the conditions of
1.Can't expect them to be perfect at the job
2.Can't expect them to listen to his orders all the time which he himself have full time experience on that already
They both agreed on the after school shift.
This is a very amazing moment for Azul himself. Because this is a very few times a person asked him to work at the lounge and that person is the one guy who appreciated his efforts he put into anything, plus he want another soul helping out at the lounge anyway. Even though Yuu said that he can't expect them to listen to him, Yuu still did listen to him likely due to the fear of disappointing someone. Yuu usually comes to the lounge in time and that seems to impress Azul, but the reason for that is they really have nothing to do after school. They both have grown closer the more they work together, Azul himself usually have a chit chat with Yuu before the work start. They both admire eachother in a way. Yuu always listen and try to understand Azul's passion in business and even talk with him about that, Yuu have some basic understandings of business themself and can understand where Azul is coming from. Occasionally, they meet eachother during lunch break.WIP
